    Breath is the bridge between mind and body, the only autonomic function we can consciously control. Ancient traditions have long used breath practices for healing and spiritual development. Modern science now validates these approaches, showing how breathing patterns directly affect our nervous system, emotions, and mental state.

    Somatic therapy recognizes that trauma and emotional experiences are stored in the body. When we experience overwhelming events, incomplete survival responses become "stuck" in our tissues, creating chronic tension, pain, and emotional reactivity. Somatic approaches help complete these responses and restore natural regulation.
